Using the Science Behind Storytelling to Motivate People to Take Action

The Whole Story Resume Method

A guided storytelling experience for mission-driven professionals reentering the workforce—designed to transform your resume into a clear, confident reflection of your experience, values, and voice.

Reclaim your career story. Teach AI your voice. Build a resume system that actually works—for the long haul.

This is not a one-time fix. Not a generic AI template. It's a living, breathing toolkit that supports your job search over time—with language that evolves alongside your goals, and an authentic voice that stays true to who you are.

You’re Not Alone in This

You’re staring at a blank resume template, trying to translate a decade of soulful, complex work into sterile bullet points.

You’ve tried using ChatGPT to write your resume—maybe even asked it to sound “more like you.” But the results still feel generic, flat, and somehow not quite right.

Selling yourself this way can start to feel disorienting—like you’re cutting pieces of yourself to fit into a mold you never chose. Eventually, you look at the page and wonder: Does this even sound like me anymore? And honestly? You’re tired of resume advice that erases the human behind the work.

That’s the reality for so many right now. Overqualified. Unseen. Exhausted. Still grinding.

What You’ve Been Told vs. What You Feel

What you’ve been told:

  • Strip out any mention of your old industry

  • Turn your resume into a pile of metrics

  • Blend in—but somehow stand out

What you actually hear:

❌ Strip your humanity

❌ Scrub your personality

❌ Delete your story

We’re not doing that here.

What You’ll Leave With—and Use Again and Again

Here’s what you’ll leave this process with:

  • A resume that speaks clearly to both humans and applicant tracking systems (ATS)

  • A LinkedIn bio that reflects your lived experience and values

  • Language you can use in interviews, networking, outreach, and emails

  • A personalized GPT trained in your voice and story to support future resume and cover letter writing

  • A voice story archive you can draw from again and again

  • A renewed understanding of your work—and the courage to own it

Why This Work Matters to Me

I care deeply about this work because it lives at the intersection of personal experience, professional calling, and social impact. My husband is a U.S. diplomat, and I’ve held several roles at U.S. embassies as we’ve moved every 2–3 years for his work for the last 16 years. I’m proud to have served the American people in many different capacities and to have spent over a decade in the humanitarian field as a humanitarian storyteller—working alongside people whose lives were defined by mission, purpose, and service.

I’ve seen firsthand how good, dedicated people are now navigating unexpected change—laid off from federal agencies like USAID, or left behind as humanitarian funding evaporates. These stories matter. And they deserve to be told with care.

While I’m certified in AI text generation, complex prompting, and image creation, I don’t believe AI is the answer on its own. I believe we need the human layer—the soul of the story. I’ve used storytelling for over 15 years to help people connect, communicate, and be remembered. And I believe that’s what AI is still missing: that magnetic, emotional resonance that only you have that makes someone stop and say, "Yes. That’s who I want to work with."

This workshop blends my lived experience with storytelling science and soulful technology. I'm here to help you reclaim your voice—and tell your story as only you can.

Is This You?

You’re a mission-driven professional with a deep well of experience—but you’ve recently been laid off, shifted careers, or stepped away to support a partner or family.

You may have worked in:

  • Government service

  • Global development

  • Humanitarian aid

  • Public diplomacy or advocacy

Now, you're trying to re-enter the workforce—and struggling to translate your story.

This method was created for people just like you.

Who This Was Created For

This 3-day guided experience is for those navigating reinvention, job transitions, or a return after time away. It’s especially powerful for those from public service or humanitarian fields who are ready to reclaim their voice and move forward with purpose.

You’ll build more than a resume. You’ll create a living ecosystem that supports you through every stage of your job search—without flattening your story.—navigating career pivots, layoffs, burnout, or return after time away. You’ll build more than a resume. You’ll create a living ecosystem that supports you in the job application process for as long as you need—without losing your voice in the process.

💡 What’s a Resume GPT? It’s your own AI writing assistant, trained in your voice, tone, and story. It helps you write resumes, cover letters, and more—without sounding like a robot.

Still Have Q’s? I have A’s!

When does the workshop happen?

This workshop takes place every other day—on June 16, 18, and 20—to allow time between sessions for integration, reflection, and story development. Each session builds on the last, and the space between gives you time to think deeply, refine your voice, and apply what you’re learning at a steady, human pace.

What if I can’t attend live?

Each session will be recorded and shared with participants. You’ll still get access to the full experience, including replays, worksheets, and GPT setup support—even if you can’t attend live. The integration days between sessions also give you time to catch up and reflect.Yes

What kind of support is available between sessions?

This workshop is a live, guided experience—but it’s intentionally light. Because this is a test offering, follow-up support is minimal. You’ll receive recap notes and key materials after each session, but the core work happens live.

What is a Resume GPT?

A Resume GPT is your own personal AI assistant—custom-built to write like you. Instead of getting generic outputs from ChatGPT, you’ll train your GPT with your tone, values, leadership style, and career highlights so it helps you write resumes, cover letters, and outreach messages that actually sound like you.

Do I need to pay for ChatGPT Plus?

Yes. To build and access your custom GPT, you’ll need a ChatGPT Plus subscription, which is currently $20/month.

I’m not a tech person—will I be able to do this?

Some familiarity with ChatGPT is helpful. While this isn’t a tech training, you’ll get clear, step-by-step instructions and support for building your custom GPT. If you’re comfortable navigating basic tools and can follow guided prompts, you’ll be just fine.

What if I don’t know what to say about myself?

That’s exactly what we’ll help you with. Day 1 is all about excavating stories, values, and tone so you can find your voice before you ever start writing.

Can I use this method for cover letters, LinkedIn, and networking?

Absolutely. Once your GPT is trained, you can prompt it to write follow-ups, cover letters, and even elevator pitches. It’s a tool you can keep refining and reusing.

Is this a done-for-you service?

No—this is a guided, co-creative process. You’ll get tools, structure, and support, but the work comes from you. This is about reclaiming your voice, not outsourcing it.

What if I already have a resume—should I still join?

Yes. If your current resume doesn’t feel like you anymore—or isn’t getting traction—this workshop will help you update it with language that resonates and a system you can actually use.

Will we finish the whole resume during the workshop?

You’ll leave with a strong working draft, powerful language tools, and a trained GPT to support the rest. Think of this as building a custom engine you can keep running well after the workshop ends.

What’s the time commitment beyond the live sessions?

Plan to spend 1.5 to 2 hours between sessions for reflection, story work, and applying what you’ve learned. The integration days are built in to support this.
